The title of this book was originally going to be (with blood in the feather) I know many of you will think that title sounds more like an Edgar Alan Poe short story and you weren't wrong.
Because one night within all the silliness that appears in my dreams, a weird Machiavellian looking character in old clothes came on the scene descending from a steam train fervently waving a small bell in his right hand and boldly shouting "the boy, the boy is back in Durham!"
I wondered what on earth is this old man talking about? And I tried to approach him to remind him that we were in another state and that the ghost town he was referring to was on the coast of the North Atlantic, and when I walked a few steps in his direction the guy turned his face quickly towards me and I stopped and it was not of my own free will! my conscience, my body and everything that represents me as a living being paralyzed every muscle in my legs so that I would not go one step further!
Somehow I felt panic, because a kind of terror covered its surroundings, and it felt like thick air that does not reach the lungs.
I sincerely felt real fear and I slowly moved away from there so that the old man would continue announcing the arrival of that child "to the four winds all over the city".
Then when I woke up I understood everything and kept silent.

El título de este libro iba a ser en un principio (con sangre en la tinta) yo sé que muchos de ustedes pensarán que ese título suena más a un cuento de Edgar Alan Poe y no se equivocaron.
Porque una noche dentro de todas las estupideces que aparecen en mis sueños, un personaje raro con aspecto maquiavélico y ropas antiguas se hizo presente en la escena descendiendo de un tren a vapor agitando con fervor una pequeña campana en su mano derecha y gritando con denuedo "el niño, el niño regresó a Durham"
Yo me pregunté ¿de qué demonios está hablando este viejo? E intenté acercarme a él para recordarle que estábamos en otro estado y que la ciudad fantasma a la que hacía referencia estaba a la costa del Atlántico Norte, y cuando caminé algunos pasos en su dirección el tipo volteó su rostro rápidamente hacia mí y yo me detuve ¡y no fue por voluntad propia! mi conciencia, mi cuerpo y todo lo que me representa como un ser vivo ¡paralizaron cada uno de los músculos de mis piernas para que no avanzará ni un paso más!
De alguna manera sentí pánico, porque una especie de terror cubría su entorno, y se sentía como el aire espeso que no llega a los pulmones.
sinceramente sentí miedo verdadero y me aleje de allí lentamente para que el viejo continuara anunciando la llegada de ese niño "a los cuatro vientos por toda la ciudad"
Entonces cuando desperté lo comprendí todo y guardé silencio.
